SPADO is the official contact point and member organization of International Campaign to Ban Landmines, laureate of the Nobel Peace Prize 1997. In this regard the organization is involved in various awareness, advocacy and research activities related to the universalization of the Landmine Ban Convention.
At the same time SPADO is the active member of Clusters Munitions Coalition (CMC), International Action Network on Small Arms(IANSA). International Peace Bureau (IPB), the world oldest and largest peace network striving towards a world without war and Control Arms Coalition.
The Executive Director of SPADO is the elected representative of IPB for South Asia. Being a member of IPB, SPADO is involved in various initiatives related to non-violence, tolerance, mutual co-existence and peace and disarmament.
