Sustainable Peace & Development Organization (SPADO) is a non-profit, non-political, and non-government organization registered in 2002 with the Government of Pakistan under the societies registration act of 1860. The organization is struggling to provide a peaceful environment to all human beings where they can utilize their potentials for Sustainable Development. It involves general public, organizations and individuals and operates under Pakistani law without discrimination on the basis of religion, race, color, nationality and ethnicity.

Peace-building in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in Districts of Swabi and Charsadda.
Sustainable peace and Development Organization (SPADO) with the support of Small Grant and Ambassador Fund (SGAFP) launched the project on “Improved governance for peace-building in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in Districts of Swabi and Charsadda. Pak Afghan Youth Exchange Program 2013
Counterpart International from Afghanistan joined hands with Sustainable Peace and Development Organization in Pakistan to form a combined platform for the civil society from both countries to work together for building mutual trust, clearing misperceptions and building peace between the two nations. Pak-Afghan Dialogue Initiative
In February 2010 SPADO initiated Pakistan Afghanistan cross-border dialogue involving representatives of civil society, media, NGO, academia and religious scholars and government officials from across the border over issues and prospective solutions of the Pukhtun communities across the Pakistan Afghan border region. Protection of Children Affected by Armed Conflict in FATA and KPK
The people of Khyber Pukhtun Khwa (KPK) and FATA witnessed numerous violent acts in surge of terrorism especially on the Pak-afghan border. Mine Risk Education

Research Projects
SPADO is the focal point for the International Campaign to Ban Landmines (ICBL) where we are conducting an annual research on landmines covering policy, mine action, stockpiles, use, casualties and victims assistance. The report is published and released annually during the meetings of State parties to the Landmine Ban Convention. SPADO is also maintaining a research database of landmines and UXOs casualties mostly occurring in the FATA region
