SPADO: British Council’s ACP National Social Action Awards (2012-13)


The annual youth summit, titled “Social Action Projects Awards”, is a British Council initiative to encourage the youth to engage in activities that benefit their communities. An exhibition was organised showcasing the winning projects and SPADO was one of them.


Taking the British Council's ACP National Social Action Award for the year 2013 from Dr Rizwan Naseer (Director General) and Founder of Rescue 1122 Punjab is the highest achievement of Spado and group (Eco-Friends) on the project "Clean Environment Happy Life". “Clean Environment Happy Life”was a project to clean the environment .Awareness and motivation were the core objectives of this project.


A cleanliness walk was conducted to make people aware about the advantages of clean environment. " Focus group discussions" methodology was used to influence students. Group leader Mr.Waseem Akram said that he is thankful to Mr.Raza Shah Khan for giving him such an amazing opportunity and is thankful to his group members for working hard together and struggling out for the project.
